Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai successfully organized a One-Day Industrial Meet and Vocational Training award ceremony on 25th February 2026 at Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg. The event was conducted under the visionary framework of National Education Policy (NEP 2020), emphasizing skill development, experiential learning, and industry integration. The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest Shri Manoj Agrawal, President of Chhattisgarh Steel Chamber, Raipur. The Guests of Honor included Shri Vijay Kumar Gupta, Managing Director of Beekay Engineering Corporation; Shri Mukesh Pandey, Vice President, Chhattisgarh Mini steel plant association; Shri Anil Agarwal, General Secretary, Chhattisgarh Steel Chamber; Shri T. S. Markam, ITS PGM BA BSNL Raipur; Shri Sachin Gupta, Managing Director, Steel Intech Private LTD.; Shri Mukesh Agrawal, MD, Jagdamba Steel and Shri Pawan Kumar, Executive Director (HR) of Bhilai Steel Plant, Bhilai. Their presence significantly enriched the deliberations and motivated students toward industry-oriented learning. The Vocational Training (VT) initiative of CSVTU during the Academic Year 2024–25 witnessed active participation from nearly 300 industries, benefitting approximately 12,000 students across 19 Undergraduate and 7 Diploma programs. The Industrial Meet served as a dynamic platform for strengthening industry–academia collaboration and promoting practical exposure aligned with emerging technological trends. During the ceremony, outstanding VT projects were recognized and awarded based on innovation, technical excellence, industrial applicability, and societal relevance. Industry leaders appreciated the University’s structured approach in implementing mentor-based monitoring, project evaluation, and outcome-driven vocational training aligned with industrial expectations. The event was held under the Chief Patronage of Dr. Arun Arora, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, CSVTU, whose visionary leadership continues to promote skill-based and experiential education. The successful organization of the program was carried out under the guidance of Dr. Amit Singh Rajput, Registrar, CSVTU and, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Mishra, Director (UTD), CSVTU, whose direction ensured smooth execution of the event. The program was efficiently coordinated by Dr. J. P. Patra and Dr. Rohit Miri Associate Professor, who served as the Event Coordinator and managed the proceedings seamlessly. Senior industry representatives, faculty members, VT coordinators, and students actively participated in discussions focusing on internships, live projects, skill enhancement programs, and placement opportunities. University officials emphasized that the VT program is a significant step toward realizing the national vision of Viksit Bharat @2047, ensuring that graduates are industry-ready and equipped with practical competencies. Notably, CSVTU has also signed an MoU with BSNL to further enhance industry-academia collaboration. The event concluded with a strong commitment to strengthen long-term industry–academia partnerships, paving the way for enhanced employability and sustainable collaboration.
