Successful Conclusion of "Kaushalya" and "Lokarpan" Programs at CSVTU
Under the guidance of Dr. Arun Arora, Vice-Chancellor of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekananda Technical University (CSVTU), Bhilai, the "Kaushalya" and "Lokarpan" programs—organized by the University Teaching Department (UTD) with the objective of encouraging student talent—have successfully concluded.
As part of "Kaushalya," held at the university on March 10–11, 2026, various cultural and art-based competitions were organized; meanwhile, the "Lokarpan" program, held on March 12–13, 2026, featured activities related to folk art and folk culture. Students participated enthusiastically in these events, delivering outstanding displays of their talent.
Approximately 700 participants from 28 colleges affiliated with the university took part in the programs. Participants who delivered outstanding performances across all competitions will be honored with cash prizes—₹5,000 for the first place, ₹3,000 for the second place, and ₹2,000 for the third place—along with mementos.
The panel of judges for the events included Padma Shri Radheshyam Barle, Shakti Ratan Chakraborty, Sonali Sen, Manimay Mukherjee, and Ms. Akanksha.
Under the "Kaushalya" program, various activities and competitions were organized, including a Best Costume Competition, Reel Making Competition, Best Ramp Walk Competition, Drama Competition, Drawing, Painting, and Rangoli Competitions, special Dance and Music Performances, Stand-up Comedy, and various other fun activities.
To entertain the students, a concert and a DJ Night were also organized on this occasion, adding further allure to the overall event.
Under the "Lokarpan" Program:
Subsequently, the "Lokarpan" program—held on March 12 and 13, 2026—featured various activities aimed at promoting traditional and local arts. During this event, the Art and Painting competition, Traditional Singing and Dance competitions, and the Traditional Dressing Showcase served as the key highlights and centers of attraction. The primary objective of this event is to foster creativity, cultural expression, and an appreciation for traditional arts among students. The university administration extended its congratulations and best wishes to all participants for their outstanding performances.
The event was attended by Dr. Amit Singh Rajput (Registrar), Dr. Pankaj Mishra (Director, UTD), Dr. Toran Verma (Coordinator), Dr. Rohit Miri, and Dr. J.P. Patra. Also present were members of the organizing committee—including Poorvi Chandrakar, Dr. Richa Sahu, Sandhya Ganwar, and Vandana Chandrakar—along with university faculty members, staff, and a large number of students.
